This website accompanies American Indian Probate Reform Act: Writing Wills for Tribal Clients, by Mary E. Guss.

In the book, we guide and highlight the processes we have identified as either most helpful, best practices, or statutory requirements of an attorney preparing a will for a client possessing Indian trust allotted lands and/or Indian trust personalty.

This site is designed to be used by practitioners who find themselves involved in the special will-writing needs of tribal clients who own allotted land. It is not designed for use by individuals who wish to write their own wills. The law in this area is complicated and skilled help is necessary.
